Kevin Wagerson, Director
Kevin Wagerson handles Mexican international expansions for Global Trade Development Group.
He has 15 years of experience in general industry sales and project and engineering management. During that time, Kevin served as Director of Sales & Engineering for a Mexican aluminum die casting manufacturing company that supplies automotive, consumer products and telecommunication industries. In this position, he increased gross sales from $10 to $20 million with new and existing customers.
Later, with another Mexican die-casting company he managed the transfer of business from a customer who decided for cost and logistics reasons to close and outsource its $6 million in-house foundry to a Mexican supplier. This transfer included moving more than 80 molds and numerous die-casting machines to Mexico to an existing facility.
Similarly, he served as a project and commercial supervisor for a $100 million European specialty automotive supplier while establishing its manufacturing base in Mexico to support its North American customers.
Kevin established a supplier in India to execute an $11 million automotive engine and transmission components contract for new business for General Motors. In addition, he moved a contract for another $15 million in suspension components to India for use at General Motors’ North American plants. He has also been responsible for launching, warehousing, re-packing and sub-assembly of automotive components.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts from John Carroll University. He currently resides in the United States, but has lived in Mexico City and is fluent in Spanish.
